Currently the list contains 596 names of which 316 are rated.
We don't automatically register all players in the domestic rating system with FIDE but only those players who have or are about to take part in a FIDE rated competition.
It is now easier than ever to get an initial FIDE rating since only 5 results are required - previously as WH indicated it was 9.
