Greetings – we are back.
The 2024 Congress (20th Anniversary) will take place 11-13 October at the Chaplaincy Centre, University of Dundee. Full details are now on our website – dundeecongress.co.uk
Some notable points:
The Congress Director will be Ray Noble, email
We are repeating the format of last year with identical 1st – 3rd place prizes across the tournaments and the same entry fee. Numbers were well down last year so, unfortunately, we have to increase entry fees to £30 for all tournaments. We still have the lowest entry fees and highest prize funds of all the Scottish weekend congresses.
The Open tournament will return as ‘Premier’ with a lower grading limit of 1700.
We will not be running a snack bar but tea/coffee will be available, payment by use of an honesty box. Iced water (free) will be available in the playing areas for the competitors.
We will have some financial support from three local businesses – Chamber Practice, Stop Go Driving and Griffen Design: our thanks and appreciation go to them. Contact details are on our website ‘Sponsors’ page.
