Oct 2014: The attached images are from a document produced in 1969 of ratings sponsored by the Glasgow Chess League. Many of the names are still active 45 years later. The conversion to 4 figure ratings would be *8+600. So Roddy McKay's 214 rating as a 16-year-old converts to 2312. See also Grading History.
