Scottish Championship 1931
The 44th annual Congress of the Scottish Chess Association opened on December 31, 1930 in the rooms of the Edinburgh Chess Club at 1 Alva Street. It was won for the ninth and final time by William Gibson. This constituted a record, the previous best being the eight wins by D.Y. Mills. Mr Gibson died in 1932.
