Scottish Championship 1957

From the September 1957 British Chess Magazine, pp227-8, report by Dr J.M. Aitken:

The 64th Annual Congress of the S as to how he mightcottish Chess Association was held under the auspices of the Glasgow CC in the MacBrayne Hall of Residence, Glasgow [11 Park Circus Place], from July 12th to 20th. There was an entry of ten─the normal number in recent years─for the Championship and the accent was most decidedly on youth. Dickson and Fallone, who made such excellent debuts in this tournament last year, were joined on this occasion by other players who quite recently were playing in junior chess circles and another intweresting factor was the reappearance in this tournament of N.A. Macleod, who has been abroad for over three years. In the championships of 1952 and 1953 he was second to me but there was some doubt as to how he might fare after a relative lack of practice in the intervening period.
