East of Scotland v West of Scotland 1931
Played Saturday, November 7th at Mackie's Restaurant, Edinburgh.
The teams had 78 players on each side, the West winning by a score of 48-30.
The East had both the youngest and oldest competitors on their side; Angus Burnett (board 61) was the Scottish Boys' Champion, and JG Thomson (board 15) had played in all these matches since 1889.
