Glasgow Blind v Edinburgh Blind

An interesting match, and the first of its kind in Scotland, was played in Edinburgh last Saturday between the blind players of Edinburgh and Glasgow, organised respectively by the chess clubs of the Edinburgh Blind Society (Mr J. Harvey, 4 Bedford Street) and the Glasgow Mission for Outdoor Blind (Mr John Donaldson, 201 Buchanan Street). Play was planned for the open-air, but on account of the weather took place instead in the dressing-room, the Recreation Park, Ferry Road. Eight boards were played, Glasgow winning by one game, as follows:-
