James Creevey was born 16 September 1873 at Blackwood,
County Kildare, Ireland.
He was Irish champion in 1933 and 1934 and represented
Ireland in the Warsaw 1935 Olympiad.
Mr Creevey was employed by the Civil Service. In 1909
he was transferred from Uckfield, Sussex and promoted to first-class
officer at Glenlivet.
He intended to play in the 1935 Scottish
Championship at Aberdeen, but he was obliged to withdraw his entry.
Many references can be found during the 1930s showing
him representing the Bon Accord CC of Aberdeen.
He died at Booterstown, County Dublin in February
1967, but was buried beside his wife, who had died in 1956, at
Glenlivet, Banffshire.
