From the BCM 1933, p 310: A leader of Scottish chess was W.T. Logan, who died on June 4th. A member of Glasgow Chess Club for forty years, he became its secretary on his retirement from business. As a jeweller and goldsmith he specialised on chess trophies and medals. He was a life member of the British Chess Federation and was a supporter of every description of chess enterprise. Liked and respected by all, his death is a real blow to Scottish chess.
