That much is certain that thanks to the success of the two previous editions, together with our regional and national partners, we will do our utmost in order to guarantee a memorable and joyous even in 2016 Chess Festival.

Just heard that Forth Bridge is going to be closed all day on 25th which means you will all have to come by Kincardine Bridge. Please make sure you leave early. Games start 10.15am.
This season really is jinxed before we begin!

Hi all,
On behalf of Lothian Junior Chess, I'd just like to highlight that on top of our usual primary school events on November 1st in Wester Hailes, we're also running a secondary team tournament on the same day.
In this inaugural secondary tournament, we're limiting entries to the first 12 high schools to apply, although if a smaller number enter we would be pleased for schools to enter a second team.
Details on the website here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ljc.org.uk/index.php/events/team/55-lothian-league-day-1-secondary-event?date=2015-11-01-09-15">http://www.ljc.org.uk/index.php/events/ ... 1-01-09-15</a><!-- m -->
Entries can be made to me at: <!-- e --><a href="mailto:mclarke@gmail.com">mclarke@gmail.com</a><!-- e -->
Thanks,
Martin

With a few of our highest graded players missing - at the Isle of Man - our Open will be more open than usual so here's a chance for those just bubbling under to have a decent crack. Value of the top three places is £575.
Roll up, roll up.
