CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - harrymarron - 08-04-2015 Is there any chance that an update can be provided regarding this year's event? Ive already PMd David but got no reply and not sure if the responsibility has been delegated to someone else. Hopefully it will not be allowed to be abandoned this year! Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Andy Howie - 14-04-2015 Harry, I am arbiting with David this weekend and will pass your query on to him Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Derek Howie - 16-04-2015 http://www.chessscotland.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1239 :- Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Mike Scott - 27-04-2015 Just checked the calendar for this event as I was thinking of mailing Lothian schools regarding events in the near future but it does not appear. I assume that it is NOT happening? Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - harrymarron - 27-04-2015 Still waiting for any kind of a response Mike! A total fiasco and shocking disregard for young people, school coordinators and the wider chess scotland membership in terms of the lack of organisation and communication. If it doesn't happen then perhaps we should be questioning whether present incumbents are up to the job. Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Andy Howie - 27-04-2015 I have spoken to David on this. I have also pinged him since I have seen the last message from Harry Said it before I will keep saying it, not all Directors read or religiously follow the noticeboard. It is often not a good way to get an answer. Dropping them an e-mail to their address in the contacts page http://www.chessscotland.com/membership/tblcontactsCS.htm is a far better way to contact a Director. If you still don't get a reply feel free to contact me and I will speak to them Andy Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Derek Howie - 27-04-2015 Andy Howie Wrote:I have spoken to David on this. I have also pinged him since I have seen the last message from HarrySo if there are 30 people out there wanting to know the answer, all 30 have to email to get it? If you have spoken to David why not reveal what the answer is? Can't think why people who are willing to take on the responsibility of a director can't check in occasionally and answer queries. Oh, and I emailed a CS director over a month ago and had no response, so emailing is as much use as asking questions on the forum. Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Mike Scott - 27-04-2015 I asked because I am aware that the SJC are running their event and I am more than happy to recommend that LJC promote this event to its members provided it does not clash with one of our own events or the CS event. Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Andy Howie - 27-04-2015 If I knew the answer I would give it. I believe they are trying to get the event on but would give 4-6 weeks notice of it. From memory the SJC one is 10th May (Derek? Phil?) I think it is safe to say there is no clash Re: CS Primary and P5 & Under Team Championship - Jacqui Thomas - 27-04-2015 I can confirm the SJC Primary Team event is on 10th May entry form here <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.scottishjuniorchess.co.uk/Primary%20Team%202015.pdf">http://www.scottishjuniorchess.co.uk/Pr ... 202015.pdf</a><!-- m --> as are any entry forms for SJC events. However there is a clash & no fault of ours. The East Megafinal was on the calendar for 3rd May when we booked the Primary Team but the East Megafinal organiser changed it because the 3rd May clashed with something (presumably the bank holiday that it was always going to clash with) but then moved it to clash with the Primary Team although I did point it out to the Lothians organiser on 10th February when he requested UK challenge to amend their details. |
