Re: Commonwealth Championships - Jonathan Livingstone - 07-07-2014 Board 32-39 link not working today. http://www.chessscotland.com/livegames/ ... d8/tfd.htm Rnd 8 pairings page for cross checking not loaded right either by looks of it. http://www.scottishchesschamp.co.uk/res ... mpionship/ Trying to be helpful Andy, am sure your up to your eyes as it gets down the nitty-gritty final rounds. In the whole, the Live Boards have gone pretty smoothly it seems so far. Re: Commonwealth Championships - Andy Howie - 07-07-2014 We lost power for some reason which has scrambled a few of the boards. Still fixing them. Could be related to the fire a couple of streets away and the wonderful smell in the playing hall! Re: Commonwealth Championships - D-Oswald - 07-07-2014 Enjoyed Grupta's Rxc4! securing the draw! Re: Commonwealth Championships - Jonathan Livingstone - 07-07-2014 Yeah good shout, I have just enjoyed it too. What a brilliant move and vision for the resulting outcome. Re: Commonwealth Championships - amuir - 07-07-2014 Colin's loss has completely opened up the championship. Anyone can win now, even Andy B. Re: Commonwealth Championships - Alan Bell - 07-07-2014 amuir Wrote:Colin's loss has completely opened up the championship. Anyone can win now, even Andy B.Nightmare. Re: Commonwealth Championships - D-Oswald - 07-07-2014 Well McNab still has a fantastic chance of winning it. On paper you would expect him and Tate to win their final round games (though they are far from easy!)... whats the tiebreak? Re: Commonwealth Championships - Jonathan Livingstone - 07-07-2014 McNab and Tate def the bookies favourites, with the others just behind. No disrespect intended to any names mentioned here either but its great that untitled but good players like Burnett, Olson, Green, Sreeves are in the mix with 1 round to play and a chance to be Scottish Champ. I like an underdog to win Re: Commonwealth Championships - George Neave - 07-07-2014 My money is on Tate. Colin's game looks a lot tougher to me. Is Mark Orr eligible to join that list of famous Scots ...Greet, Aagaard etc? Re: Commonwealth Championships - George Neave - 07-07-2014 btw - did I see Andrew Burnett play for the opposite color bishop ending today and then convert with some tidy Karpovian technique? ...nice |
