Slightly off topic here unless Helen switched here e and d pawns just before start of play. And when was 2000 recent? I know .... 2001 It look as though Pat has borrowed a time machine. The best thing about lending someone your time machine is that you will get it back straight away Re: what does Phil Thomas play as black - Patrick McGovern - 20-08-2013 Quote:And when was 2000 recent? Phil went that far back looking for a black win for you and gave up at 2000 Re: what does Phil Thomas play as black - Phil Thomas - 20-08-2013 Patrick McGovern Wrote:Quote:And when was 2000 recent? Pat, this is not a standards committee enquiry. You could have asked me when my last black wins were. They were Round 1 this weekend at Marymass on 16th August 2013 and Round 5 at Marymass on 18th August 2013. I didn't poke fun at you when you (as top grade in your section) scored this weekend only 2/5. That would have been troll like behaviour whether or not I were to put a smiley face after my posting. If you can't find any games of mine where I faced d4 then you are going off topic yet again. Your contributions to this thread, as currently phrased, are meaningless. Go and find someone more attractive and more interesting than me to stalk. Re: what does Phil Thomas play as black - Phil Thomas - 20-08-2013 Before this kicks off again down the usual channels I was referring to standards committee case 1204 against Michael Hanley. This case should have been time barred by 66 days but appeared 11 days before the Council meeting and all the controversy raging at the time. Investigations stopped very soon after Michael pointed out that I was a key witness to the incident. The case was formally dropped after the council meeting after Michael had agreed to rewrite his directors report. Straying off topic I know but it is essential for the future of CS that the standards committee are seen to be independent of the executive. My suggestion is to reinvent the jury system. Let cases be judged by random adult members of CS who do not have a clearly defined conflict of interests. These people are by definition capable of jury service and deciding whether or not to convict those accused of serious crimes. Petty squabbles in the chess world would be far easier to judge than serving in a major criminal trial. Re: what does Phil Thomas play as black - Jim Webster - 20-08-2013 Phil I'm amazed - you never seem to give up with you and the standards committee. What was clearly a light hearted remark about chess, you turn round once again and take it off track to your own private vendetta. Oh dear! |
