Re: Commonwealth Championships - Phil Thomas - 04-07-2014 amuir Wrote:Andy, I am unemployed so will not make any donations. As goodwill I offer to do coaching. the last time the Glorney was held in Scotland Andy did do some coaching. Unpaid and he would not even accept expenses for his journey into Strathclyde Uni. How about some joined up thinking here. The Scottish nominations don't have any coaching lined up specifically for the event. Andy Muir isn't playing the last four rounds in the Commonwealth. Anybody out there care to join up the dots ? Re: Commonwealth Championships - George Neave - 04-07-2014 I know Andy Burnett was always going to struggle with his concentration today against Tanya Sachdev (all the pics of her on the blog is bit of a giveway :x ). Even so that collapse at end today really was a bit of a shocker Re: Commonwealth Championships - Jonathan Livingstone - 04-07-2014 On the results page at http://www.scottishchesschamp.co.uk/res ... mpionship/ there is 'FLAG' column for both white/black. It is either blank or marked "w' or 'i' but what does it mean? Re: Commonwealth Championships - Jonathan Livingstone - 04-07-2014 Burnett-IM Sachdev was a good game today, wide open and needing accurate play from both. Liked the finish to IM Wang-FM Giulian (Rxf7!). Have been wondering how long it would be before FM Tate sacrificed his queen, still waiting although he did exchange his Queen for 2 Rooks against Olson today. Even so that collapse at end today really was a bit of a shocker Hey! The 'collapse' was one bad move George (...f5, a miscalculation) after I decided to play for the win (I could probably have 'repeated' with ...Kh7!?).
