European Team Chess Championship 2015 Reykjavik, Iceland 12- - andyburnett - 03-04-2015
Any news on when/how the Scotland team for this will be selected? It is usually a pay-to-play event for our team I think, so even though it's 6 months away....Andy M? (Would have PM'd you but doesn't seem to work very well sometimes :/ full inboxes/outboxes, etc)

Andy B - at council they agreed to give me £1500 so £300 per player.
Usually costs £1000 gross so £700 net.
Probably select teams in June based on latest grades.
I would like to play since did well last time but have had a bad season playing after work in Leeds.
Since you have asked I will put an advert on selection news soon.
Hope you and Clement can play to convert FM to 7 round IM norm.

Currently 7 people available , I have asked Craig Pritchett if he is playing world senior instead to replace me as selector for this tournament as I am one of the candidates. Deadline May 29.

Is there any update on this? More players interested? A date for announcing the team? Who the selectors are?

Only the 7 players noted made the deadline.
I have passed to Colin + Douglas for selections - if they cannot agree - will pass to another strong player for casting vote.
