Alan Tate starts with a win. Other 4 still playing. Mickey Grove hiding his face inside his T shirt. Not sure what that means though, as his position looks okay.

Clement,s opponent had me confused. Well her sister did, when she appeared at a board 2 rows away. Twins? Andrew Green just lost but he was up against 2 opponents in the end. The 1 opposite and the clock.

I have just been watching Alan Tate dismantling his 2474-rated Russian opponent. It's not over yet, but Alan is clearly winning if he can keep control. Unfortunately the other boys aren't on live boards today.

Alan Tate got an IM norm today, not that he is in short supply of them! 2400 rating will come soon if he keeps that level up.
