Proxy votes - Jim Webster - 08-08-2012 I am unable to get to AGM but would.ike to exercise my right to vote, particularly on the motions being presented. Is there an electrinic form for doing this, or will an ordinary email do. Such an email would need to nominate someone to vote for them , and as directed. Re: Proxy votes - Adam Bremner - 09-08-2012 Can someone please clarify the way proxy votes work, and when they need to be done by? Thanks Re: Proxy votes - Jim Webster - 09-08-2012 Quote:5.3 Proxies are permitted if lodged in writing or by e-mail at least one week before a General Meeting, and, in the case of Individual members aged under 16, endorsed in writing or by e-mail by the member's parent or guardian. The above is an extract from the Chess Scotland constitution - seems pretty straightforward now. Looks like proxies have to be submitted by the 12th. Re: Proxy votes - Alan Jelfs - 10-08-2012 "5.3. Proxies are permitted if lodged in writing or by e-mail at least one week before a General Meeting ..." Where do we send the e-mails ? Re: Proxy votes - David Deary - 10-08-2012 Alan Jelfs Wrote:"5.3. Proxies are permitted if lodged in writing or by e-mail at least one week before a General Meeting ..." I would have said it would be Andy Howie as Exec Director but not 100% sure. If not Andy, I'm sure he would point you in the right direction. Re: Proxy votes - Jim Webster - 10-08-2012 I think you can send proxies to whoever you nominate to cast them for you, and may also need to notify Andy Howie, or the chairman that you have appointed a proxy voter. Alternatively you can authorise the chairman to sat your cast the votes for you as you direct. |
