London Chess Classic - andyburnett - 05-12-2013 The draw for the group stages of the London Chess Classic can be seen here http://www.londonchessclassic.com/super16_draw.htm Our own Jonathan Rowson (late replacement for Magnus Carlsen) has landed a corker of a group with Kramnik, Svidler and Sadler =o Good luck with that Jonathan! Re: London Chess Classic - Keith Rose - 05-12-2013 And let's not overlook other Scots - Clement Sreeves, Neil Berry, Paul Roberts, Andrew Green, Mikey Grove, Douglas McKerracher - who are taking part in the FIDE Open, starting Saturday. http://www.classic.livechess.co.uk/2013/fideop/SMWSite/index.html Good luck to them all. Re: London Chess Classic - WBuchanan - 05-12-2013 Yes good luck indeed. It would be a good time to hit a purple patch, as it seems the 2 remaining qualifiers for the London Classic will be taken from the highest scorers after round 4. Re: London Chess Classic - Phil Thomas - 06-12-2013 Keith Rose Wrote:And let's not overlook other Scots - Good luck also to Helen Milligan. Re: London Chess Classic - andyburnett - 07-12-2013 Am I being dim or are there no 'live' boards being transmitted from the FIDE Open? For that matter, will there be live broadcasts of the Classic itself? :\ EDIT: No sooner do I post this, than a huge LIVE BOARDS button appears on the website |
