There will be a weekly Lanark Open again this year. The tournament will be run on five Monday evenings from 20 August - perfect for sharpening up your game prior to the start of the new season. who's Ian Brownless? I'm sure it was that handsome guy from Carluke that was one of the runners up almost as bad as the clydedale cup spelling I ordered all those years ago

Ian Brownless is an ungraded shark that (I'm sure) goes around picking up prizes and has not yet come to the attention of the grader.
Ian Brownlee on the other hand is an honest chess player who lives in the shadow of his illustrious (near) namesake. :U
