Federation Monegasque des Echecs (Monaco) is strengthening its national team before the 41st Chess Olympiad in Tromso.
IM Igor Berezovsky transfered from the German Chess Federation to become the top rated player (2437) in Monaco.
GM Algimantas Butnorius completed his move from Lithuania after the European Senior Championships in Portugal. Butnorius is former World Senior Champion (2007) and 10-times Lithuanian Champion (alone or tied, between 1967 and 1993).
