"I would like to thank David Congalton for running the Malawi Charity Rapid Chess event a total of £548 has been raised which is fantastic and will make a big difference to the people of Malawi.
The Open was won by Andrew Greet and the Major by Dick Heathwood. Thank you to all the players that participated and help make this event such a success and hopefully we will be able to run this tournament again next season."
