Generally speaking you are correct Craig and I don't often have a pop at people in such terms. However, the phrase 'he needs a right good slap' didn't come about by chance - certain people go through life thinking they can say and do anything they please. I would also point out that your use of "(perceived)" is unnecessary - some things are just what they are!
