As Mike says. we had a good day today and to be honest , it could have been more. Vagif hammers his guy in 26 moves, Calum is really impressed with him.
Kirsty is finding things tough but there is a long way to go. Colin was always better but wasn't sure in a tricky endgame, takes a draw and moves on.
Andrew competely outplays opponent, winning a piece in 16 moves. Daniel was doing ok right up to the late middle game but his opponent had an edge throughout and converted.
Kai is material up but is faced with a pawn on the 7th and another closing in. He didn't like the look of it and offered a draw.
Liam was in the same boat, the same as yesterday but we felt he was winning when draw agreed.
Murad is really disappointed to have lost in a very close game, he will be back.
Jamie had an outstanding result and felt he had a slight edge throughout before drawing.
Sam is gutted, he is winning against an extremely strong player when he throws in a quick move and gets mated. He has been playing really well.
Anna Milton is taking over from Ali in the last to finish stakes! A good win today, her steady all round game is made for these events and coupled with a vastly improved endgame will steadily score points.
