Some more oddities in round 4 in the U10 open with one of England's young players on 1 point from the first round when they weren't paired meeting an opponent who has 2 points and a kid from Kazakhstan who has 1.5 but wasn't paired in the first round and scored 0 points matched against an Indian kid on 2.5.

The board 3 pairing doesn't help me make any sense of it either. I must have missed this section of the pairing rules when I was studying for the arbiters exam.

Diana Mirza of Ireland, who played in the Scottish Championships in Glasgow a couple of years ago, has had a great start with 3 out of 3 in the under 14 girls.
