Thanks for this David and best of luck to everyone there.
I could be wrong about this but the overall standard of all players taking part seems to be higher than when the event was regularly held at Mureck, Austria.

I'm not sure about that, Robin.
This year's u14 - 18 entrants. 17 with grades between 1489-2033. 1 without a FIDE grade. 3 with grades over 1900.
Mureck from 3 years ago - 38 entrants. 30 with grades between 1499-2240. 8 without a FIDE grade. 10 with grades over 1900.
Probably not much between them.

Good luck to all the team, especially my club-mate Lennart!
The standard is certainly higher than the alternative of our club championship.

Some really exciting Scottish games today, mostly in time scrambles. Good live online coverage for this event. Well done to the organisers.

Good luck to the Scottish Juniors!!!!!
Just wondering who their Head of Delegation is? Also was there a chess coach sent to support the juniors? Couldn't find information about this on the CS website....but that's probably just down to me and my skills with technology

We can't send coaches until we get some with the FIDE qualification...

That's not so good Andy
Was Chess Scotland able to send a Head of Delegation?
