What is happening to this site?
#1
As well as the dashboard not working I now find that the forum posts I can view are much reduced.

I know that this will probably fall on deaf ears as is usual with my previous posts.

However if someone in the know reads this can you please let me know what's happening.

Thanks

Just tested and I am not seeing anything missing here. Tried logged in and logged out and there was no difference so not sure what you are seeing here that is different

Thanks for your replies.

When I try to use dashboard I get this message Invalid PNUM set. This is preceded by a red vertical line. I'm using a windows PC.

With regard to the other problem I now have only  2 pages of subjects and apart from this thread I have no posts from 2024.

Andy Here, I just duplicated your settings into a test user and I am posting from it.   I am seeing all posts.  It looks like the issue might be something your end as I am not able to see it here with any way I am setting up.

Can you go to https://www.chessscotland.com/forum and see if you see the same thing, only other thing I can think of is to clear out your web cache in case it is a cookie that has malformed and is causing it

Actually you said you can only see 2 pages of subjects.  I have a feeling you are in the public area and not the forum as a whole.  I just glanced down and noticed this particular forum only has 2 pages.

If you look up towards the top, there is a menu that says Forums > Public Area > Chess Scotland Forum.

Can you click on Forums and I have a feeling you will be able to see the full thing then

the invalid PNUM is on my account as well which is relatively new and thats not on the forum at all but on the main website and the website is designed as per upgrade to be compatible with mobile devices etc. Also the display settings on a pc/laptop might be causing issues

Hi all

The Invalid PNUM on your dashboard bug has now been fixed. If it still shows this then it's because your user account on the website has not been updated with your PNUM. Get in touch and we can fix that.

The forum issue... I don't see a technical problem. There aren't any posts from 2024 in this specific section of the forum, so that's why it's not showing any. I've checked the database and it's the same there too. If you are a member, you should be able to access the Members Only section, which has many sub-sections with posts from 2024 (here's one example: https://www.chessscotland.com/forum/forum-3.html).

Hope it helps.

Andrew
