AIUI, he entered the competition on the condition that his opponents were allowed to have him searched before the games. Bear in mind there were a number of top players who withdrew from the event on learning Ivanov was taking part

Fully agree with those sentiments.
Sounds to me like "guilty until proved innocent is OK but don't worry its only being applied to the guilty".
