Tromso Olympiad 2014
Title Awarded Title Award (one-time) Licence Fee (valid for 4 years)
FIDE Trainer 200 Euros 120 Euros
FIDE Instructor 100 Euros 60 Euros
National Instructor 50 Euros 30 Euros
Developmental Instructor 50 Euros 30 Euros

Jim,

I think the title fee (up to 200 Euros) and the Licence fee (up to 120 Euros and renewable every four years) is a fairly big tab for CS to pick up.

Robin,

I would have thought that CS would/should only pick up the Participation Fee.

Any other costs, particularly recurring cost, need to be budget approved.

In any case lets start a new thread specifically for Tromso Reports and keep to that specific topic.

I didn't think you did Alan, all I was meaning to do was segregate the team result reports from the Olympiad into a new, shorter thread.

Good luck to all the players - have fun as well.

Perhaps I am missing some thread or something?

On the road home from my family holiday so catching up at the moment. It was on the agenda and discussed at the Edinburgh Council meeting. I requested that our decision not be made public to protect Alex McF who lost his place in the Olympiad 4 years ago as we went public...

I will be voting on the 11th on the new president, there is a poll on this noticeboard which gives a clear direction where you all want me to vote....

Re Andy and John, I have been abroad so not part of the decision process for that however from where I am sitting it is simple economics, We either pay for the trainer titles for them both or we pay for the accommodation. Not a difficult choice and a fraction of the cost!
