My personal preference is hanging.

I can't seem to find anyone who knows the source which is frustrating as it means I have to infect myself to work it out Sad

I suspect it is coming from the US.

I've had about half a dozen as well, all apparently from chess players in Scotland. Obviously, I haven't clicked on the links contained in the messages, so I don't know what they lead to.

The language in the messages is certainly American, but I think they are as likely to originate in East Asia (aimed at the USA) as in the US itself.

Basically, if anybody receives a brief message apparently from another chess player mentioning 4th July or Independence Day or containing any Americanisms and giving a link to somewhere else, don't click on the link!

I thought I was getting loads of spam from you Steve - turns out it was just your normal emails. :U

Just kidding by the way!

I got an email the other day from Nigeria telling me that I'd inherited 2 million dollars from a distant Uncle of mine whom I didn't know existed. =o It seems I have quite a lot of rich distant relatives who know Nigerian nationals.

Actually now that I think about it - I looked down my spam filter and have had quite a few spam emails from quite a few Chess players' email addresses.

I guess Chess players must be a target market for viagra pushers. =)
