It's good to see GM John Shaw airing his views on the forum - a spot of much-needed 'realism' added into the debate.
I would be interested in your views John, on 'individual training/squad training', motivation for younger/older(!) players coming through, what the priorities should be for the adult budget, etc.
Quality Chess is a real Scottish (ok, Scottish/Danish) success story in chess and there is a wealth of experience, knowledge and commitment stored in these 4 guys! If we are discussing Scotland on the international stage and how to improve performances I think Jacob, John, Colin and Andrew should be invited (or dragged) into the discussion
