I think I'll go and spectate. Entry fee is £1000 per team (bit more expensive than chess)

I went to watch twice. Entry free. I went to the Open Room where you could sit at a board and view two of the hands and also the commentary room. Scotland lost to Guernsey 2 but still reached the quarter- finals where they narrowly lost to India 62-60. Wales won the Commonwealth Championships - their team included Patrick Jourdain, bridge correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. A Chairman's team (not eligible for the title) played them in the final. Chess players there included Jonathan Mestel and George Moultrie.
