I was surprised to see that there is a GM playing in the Open event, he has a
grading 400 above his nearest rivals so i suspect he might just win the tournament.

GM Tamas Fodor is currently based in London, but doesn't qualify for the British .

He plays for Hendon in the Middlesex League and has done so now for a year or two.

He also played in the Jersey Open last year, albeit 1 of 6 GM's taking place.

I wouldn't bet against him winning the tournament either.
