I would like to congratulate Steve Hilton on his new post. Knowing Steve as I do I'm sure he will tackle this important post with his usual dogged determination and unique style. I look forward to seeing what can be achieved in 2016.

I am unable to take up this post because I have been in hospital diagnosed with a irregular heart beat.
I have to cut down on my commitments both inside and outside of chess.
I have already explained to the President my reasons and my plan for re organising my activities both inside and outside of chess
