George Neave Wrote:- Sadly I do not even recognise all the names of the women's team despite playing most weekenders - maybe that's because the are playing majors and not opens?
I notice a couple of subsequent commentators confused the word "all" in this quote with "any" .
Elaine Bamber and Ali Roy both produced very impressive results this weekend. Makes me think we have 3, possibly 4, female Scots worthy of an Olympaid place on basis of their chess playing abilities.

Keith Arkell has had to resign as captain due to ill-health of his mother.
The deadline for replacements is July 10.
I am on holiday till July 14.
Please contact John Shaw if you are interested at Quality Chess.
We need somebody up to the job.
If we cannot find anyone suitable the teams will go without a captain.
