I haven't played very much in the past few years... partly due to a lack of time, partly due to there not being so many tournaments up north.
However, I do still play online (as claymore on lichess), and I'm curious to know if any other Scottish players do too, and where? I used to know a few ICC nicknames, but by now most of them have long since expired.

Chess.com for me as well, but I might not be the easiest to find

I'm another fan of chess.com, free, user friendly and full of features and lots of players.
If you don't have time for tournaments etc, there is a group of 300 Scottish players, which plays international matches, and there is a Swiss Tournament amongst group members currently running. You could join in these if you wish.

I am SA of Team Scotland, you're all welcome to come join, there is a free level of membership which i enjoyed for 5 years before stumping up membership fees.
We could do with a few strong players, currently competing in division 4 of the World League...
