An emergency meeting of the Executive Committee was held today to discuss the implications of the funding to be received by the English Chess Federation. Minutes can be found here.

Members may wish to write to the local MSPs. If doing so we suggest that they include the points indicated in the minutes.

For ease of reference:

Suggested content of letter from players to their local MSP and MP

These should:

·Be Individual letters. (Standard letters are normally binned!)

·Mention English Grant

·Ask if CS can receive similar treatment

·Point out Junior Achievements primarily Louis & Freddy.

Mention REAL risk of some of the most promising transferring to England. Others losing motivation.
